Reputable shipper is pretty easy. There are a number of people on some of my other forums who've done this. Let me know if you decide to got that route.
That's good to know, and I'll definitely be in touch if I decide to go all in and import something.

In and out is a bit tricky, especially with the top up. Once in there's a decent amount of space. Not the same as the MGB (that's palatial in comparison) but better than many. Drove a TR3 last weekend and it was a tighter fit than the Bugeye. I'm 6'1", 210#, with 12EEEE shoe size so finding a LBC I fit in is tricky.

They are roomier than the later Spridgets (like yours) though. None of that seat padding and wind up window nonsense.

Well I've had an interesting winter. Followed a few leads on RHD Bugeyes that didn't work out, and even looked at a TR3 and a very nice RHD '67 MGB GT. In the end I've decided to stick with the car I have, so no Bugeye for me. The MGB just fits what I want to do better, and frankly I fit in it better.

I still love Bugeyes, but I think my time with them has passed. I had a great time with the Tunebug, and I know that car is in excellent hands now. Bugeyes still make me smile, but just at a distance now.

Probably the easiest and quickest way to find what you're after would be to import on from England. That way you could be sure it wasn't a conversion. I peruse Classic and Sports Car magazine regularly. Check their websight.... (https://www.classicandsportscar.com/)

By way of wrapping up this thread, I guess I'm living proof that you should never say never.

In May 2013 I posted about my decision to stop looking for a RHD Bugeye. Wasn't going to pursue. Done. In August 2013 I bought one...

Jack says the same thing and having sat in both A/B I think y'all are nuts. Way more room in a later car with a smaller steering wheel not to mention better seating position and leg angle.
