Here in Florida you can have regular tag, antique or vanity.

Antique must be over 30 years old, no driveing restrictions etc. and all the same price but for vanity.

Must ask them how you select vanity name and determine what is in use.

I briefly thought about historic plates, since the BMV here said it was eligible for them. Unfortunately the law says you can only drive to car shows, but I know some folks who define "car show" a little loosely. Collector plates were the next alternative, but somehow that requires the blessing of the folks in Columbus. Somehow a '77 Midget shows up in the list of historic vehicles, but not collector vehicles. So, for now I just have the no-frills standard plates on it. My ham radio plates on the other car are expensive enough!

I like "FROGEYE" for it, Jack. "MINE" and "MINE2" are taken /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I once saw a corvair with the tag "UNSAFE". It made me laugh outloud. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Photo in R&T years ago of a tag on a white VW Rabbit: "ML8-ML8"! I like some folks' choices. The Corvair one is great.

Took dear old dad a little while to figure out why people were always checking him out when he was driving my step-sisters truck with "BLONDDIE" tags. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

His long-suffering wife had to esplain why she spelled it with two "D"'s also... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

I've heard of a Pinto with "KABOOM",& I had the plates
"11/10THS" on my SSC Fiesta (had to even explain it to some other racers.
Had "TYOTA" on my Toyota pickup,'cause that's what everyone would call it.
Also had "1979" on another Fiesta - the first letter was
an "I",back when CA DMV did it that way.
