Headlight relay question

Not that I'm not supremely confident in my electrical skills, but I do want to keep all the smoke allotted to my Bugeye by Mr Lucas. The headlight relays are installed and everything works as it should, but the wire that powers the headlights (big, ugly red one that goes to the + terminal) could be disguised better. I don't want to cover it with my shoelaces for its final run to the battery and it makes sense (to me) to draw power from the fuse block if appropriate. Thoughts?

Presumably you have already installed fuses in the power feed to each relay. If not, it's a good idea to do so. If you take the main power feed from the fuse box, take it from the side "before" the fuses. You don't want to add the headlight current draw to an existing circuit.

Thanks, I joined the 2 red wires from the relays at the connector and will be adding an inline fuse. Your suggestion makes sense and I'll probably exchange the red wire for brown where it goes into the fuse box.

I decided to go with individual fuses for the relays and it's a buttoned up. Follow up question, what size fuses should I use?
