Bump Stop Box Color???

Should the Bump Stop Box in the rear of a 3000 match the exterior color or???

My are black on an unrestored BT7. Also full of dirt when I removed them. The dirt was a shade of brown.....

I was going to go with black too, but you can check the "the bible"

Per Anderson & Moment, the bump stops were installed after the body was painted and are painted black with unpainted fasteners.

Thanks for the replies! Yes, mine were full of rust, dirt, and pebbles as well. I also had to beat dents out of them, so clearly they had served their intended purpose at some point. I had to order new ones for my 100 since someone removed them at some point and added leafs to the springs along with traction bars.
