Sunday's entertainment was pulling the old 948 and transmission out of the Tunebug. Went very smoothly -- had to use a little persuasion to get the drive shaft out, though. Those 4 bolts were very happy where they were and didn't want to budge! That was really the only hitch as all the other bits to remove came off easily. I even managed to remember to pull all the connections, so when it came time to hook up the hoist, there were no snags.
Boy, much simpler than pulling the motor out of 74 Midget was. With no front bodywork, it just slid right on out. I was temporarily worried about where I would put it, but then remembered -- it's a Sprite motor! Just put it against the wall, takes up no space at all.
Pictures of the weekend's work will follow -- our internet (and cable) are down at the house, so can't get to my pictures right now. Was nice to make some more progress, now it's time to start the rebuilding process.
