This concerns installing a TR4A brake light switch in front of the brake master cylinder instead of replacing the original TR3 inline switch. When the 4A switch is mounted to the surrounding MC bracket (by means of a nut on the threaded part of the switch) is it possible, that the on/off button and switch end ,would protrude far enough to keep the internal of the brake MC from releasing the the brakes after being applied....in other words holding the brakes "on" just enough to cause significant drag?
I installed an off switch once on an Austin Heally Sprite but I installed in the cockpit above the pedal arm so that any downward movement of the brake pedal would operate the switch.
