Absolutely a terrific "how to install /ac" article for all to envy ! Great pics and descriptions, thanks for sharing. Not going to attempt in my BN2 but will envy this cooled down Healey, otherwise known as 4 wheel heaters in the summer !

Thanks, I know many of us are into true pure high preformance cars as i am. But many Healey owners like to tour there Healeys as well, that is what i do with my BJ8 on Route 66 most of the time. I must admit, there are really hot days i wish i had AC....at least on the way home! I have a poor mans AC.... A Giant Slurpy as im driving!

Robert did all this great work on his Healey and sold it early 2012. A lot of really great options were done to his car. I borrowed some of his ideas for the AC for my BJ8 but kept away from the "electrical controls" and went with simple cables plus other changes.

Did you know the owner of that Healey? One thing for sure, He really did the Healey world a great service documenting not only the installation, but where to buy everything needed! It sure would save people interested in such a project a awful lot of leg work! not to mention all the "brain" work he put into this project. I really have to take my hat off to him!

I didn't know Robert and he never joined our North Texas Club but I had email exchanges with him. His documentation is second to none on the work he did on his car.

Like Steve's web site, Robert's is a great resource and both of them are to be commended. I recently used Robert's to get a visual on the rear crankshaft oil seal conversion since I'll be doing that job shortly, and his tips are great. I agree that guys like them have done a great service!

He certainly did a super nice job on his a/c.... wish I had seen it before I did mine, I'm sure it would have kept me from burning up a few too many brain cells!
