C'mon I'm getting bored with the strip and paint routine. When are you going to start building the engine or reassemble something. Can you do some sub assemblies? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Pistions arrived today, thanks Tony. Off to the machine shop in the morning. Then it is more stripping.

"Can you do some sub assemblies?" Hay I did the Heater box assembly.

Here is what's left.

Headlight brackets.
Two springs.
Emer. brake.
Seat frames.
Top bow.
Top bow storage brackets.
Windsheld wiper motor.
Rear axels.
Front Hubs.
Stearing rack.
Drive shaft.
Fuel tank.
Pedel box and blanker.
Transmission.

Was takeing apart the stearing col. and cleaning and such today. Now tell me honestly how many of you have oiled the two felt bushings in it. Nasty in there, even rust, no telling if they had ever been lubed, oil is the ticket folks.

Took one of the springs apart, nasty job. lots of clean up involved here, nothing in there but rust. Must have machine shop make me a couple of bracket things for when they go back together.

Off to Europe on the 11th, my goal is was to have all the bits ready to go before I left. Not sure if I will make it but close it seems anyway.

Then a big garage cleaning I think and a trip to N. Alabana with the tub for blasting. Meanwhile engine will go back together. Paint for it also arived today.

I suspose someone will make some more. They must be a big item amoung the raceing folks.
