Hi all,
I'm reupholstering the door capping now, and am not happy with the look. When I glued on the new leather, I can see the outline of the rubber padding. So I’m wondering if I should add a strip of thin batting or wool flannel to prevent this. The attached mfr picture is not mine, but definitely shows the issue. I don’t recall seeing that on the original, although it did have 50 years worth of elbows to settle in!
