I am putting together my TR3 engine, and got to the timing. Roger Williams' book suggests that the cam sprocket might need shimming. No mention of the crank sprocket, which in my case is 20 thou or so
"low". I am reluctant to remove it (I could not shift it when I took the engine apart). Manual says nothing at all about this... just put it together!
Is this a problem I should worry about and wrestle with? Will it wreck the sprockets and chain?
(the front cam bearing seems to fit perfectly so I have no idea why this should be out of kilter, but after 65 years...
