Gents,
I have a question on static timing, in particular the right adjustment of the moving contact on the cam. When the engine is at 6 degree before TDC (which is the setting for static timing) the moving contact should be exactly at one of the elevations of the cam, right? At this moment the distance of the contact breaker of the moving contact should be at the defined contact breaker gap, right? If this is correct, how can I align the distributor in a way that the moving contact is at one of the elevations? It is of course not the contact adjustment screw.
