I bought this car about eighteen months ago and have done a considerable amount of change to the car. I am trying to perhaps find who might have done the original v8 conversion to the car as well as the body modifications....just curiosity about its history. the person I bought the car from lived in alandale, nj. he bought the car in 1973 from someone in Hunterdon county, nj for 1200 dollars. the car had been built supposedly to race at Watkin glen????? it was never raced and when he purchased the car it was in a very neglected state. at any rate, looking for the needle in the haystack !!!!I might get lucky. the car is pictured below....it had a sbc conversion, Muncie 4 speed, huge flares, huge wheels and tires, roll bar, and a very large fuel cell, wooden dash with stewart warner gauges, and a very large Monza? type fuel filler. any info is appreciated.

If you can find one of the body numbers on the car someplace you might be able to get a heritage certificate. The Body number was stamped several places on the car, probably on the bonnet and maybe on the support for the prop-rod for the deck lid and I think on all the polished aluminum trim around the cockpit (on the underside). Of course, if it can be obtained that will only tell you details of how the car originally came from the factory. I won't help with any of the history after it was dispatched or for the conversion work.

Good Luck,
Dan M.
