Last year I replaced the timing cover seal on the barn find. For 3 weeks there wasn't an oil leak anywhere on the engine; no really, it's true I tell you. Of course this couldn't go on forever, so reality stepped back in and the timing cover seal started leaking.
I do remember NOT sliding the pulley hub on to align the cover before tightening the bolts. I have it all apart again (I did seal it well, so this time it gets Hylomar release agent applied) and will probably replaced the cover seal again just in case.
Now the question. Before I put it all back together again, I want to double check which way around the oil thrower (deflector) disc goes.
