Rubber Bumper mounting hole?

Is this hole for mounting the bumper or is it for something else? It's been several months since I took this bumper off that I forgot. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Not exactly sure what the holes for....possibly for the wires to the liscence plate lamps?

Well, I'm in the process of restoration and the car is registered and all but I don't have the windshield on yet nor the bumpers.

Oh, I see what you mean. That's a reflection of the license plate parked behind the MGB.

I've already got the license plate lights wired through the body next to the mounting screws so that hole is for something else. It's round but not elongated like the others.

No, the rubber bumper has 5 bolts that actually hold it on. 2 on each side (one inside the trunk and one underneith the car) and one in the center.

Right, 5 bolts, 5 elongated, or rectangular holes but there's that round hole I can't figure out, where the arrow is pointing. I should've noted where things were before I took things apart. Oh well, next time! I can always block that hole with something like a rubber plug.

I don't know what it is there for. No here is a better question. What kind of car is in the reflection of the back of the MGB. I'm guessing early Corvette?

I'm guessing Mercedes... I see a grid patterned grill and a chrome bumper... sooo maybe late 70's ish?

You're both wrong. Anymore guesses? Hint- The car manufacturer was incorportated in May of 1903. The original owner, David Dunbar _ _ _ _ _, invented the overhead valve engine upon which it's company success was based.
