Rotary Sprite

Most impressive.

Thanks, now the proof will be in the putting. Once the weather breaks I'll put it in for the last time! (X'n fingers)

does the rotary not provide enough heat for you, so you had to add a heater?

LOL, yes the rotary will be nice and toasty, but here in New England you ain't going know where without defroster.

Yeah, I had to open the tunnel and channel the cross member.

Sorry im late to the conversation but you dont necessarily have to cut the transmission tunnel and crossmember. If you use a shifter housing from a rwd 626 or a 2000 pickup and you mount the transmission mount on the mazda transmission to the spridget crossmember you should have enough clearance in the tunnel and the shifter will come through the transmission tunnel very close to where the original spridget shifter came through.

just FYI.

nice! Radiator for a VW or is it a custom unit?
It's from and 1987 RX-7. I'm not sure I like the fit or look it's to frigg'n big, but will do for now and support start-up.

You are correct but I wanted the motor to sit as low as possible so I elected to gain another inch by channeling the cross member. This also allowed a straight line with the tranny out put shaft and rear-end mounting flange that way I could be in the center on the tranny tunnel with my over sized drive shaft.

Rad #2. Come to find out I could not fit the RX-7 rad without cutting and welding it. Went with this 3" think 16" X 24" drag rad. Looks like this may work.
