Price is about right, assuming that the tub is in good shape....lots of goodies, according to the ad.
I love these cars, but I'm prejudiced......because I love these cars.
It would be good to look at the rear spring mounts (for rust) and look over the entire car for serious crash damage (if it's been a racer since '73, there will be some damage...just be sure it's not too bad).
The 'glass nose and rear flares may not be OK for most vintage classes. Switching back to the steel nose is easy, but re-installing the stock rear steel fenders is a pretty big job.
If you end up buying it (or another racer) and you want to get some good track time, I can recommend a great little race club that's very low key (and most of the vintage clubs accept our race licenses). EMRA Race Schedule. Give me a shout if you have any questions about EMRA.

My car originally came from Vero Beach and I have talked with the guy from WireWheel. It's been ~ 18 mths and I'm sure I have his name at home somewhere, but he was real knowlegeable, helpful and seemed pretty straightforward.

As for the "go-fast items" -- double check everything, but seems like a fair price.

I had lots of work on mine from Joe @ Central Garage (near WireWheel) on US 1 and they have some good experience on LBC (& many foreign cars). He's slow, but real good in terms if his work.

All I can say is I wish I could justify yet another race car! Can't do it at this time though I do have another son coming up to age in a couple of years!! That'd three of us on track and duking it out! And with Mr. Bugeye58 himself too!

Just curious but isn't WireWheel's owner's first name Howard? I'm thinking back a few years and I darn near bought a Bugeye from them. Still don't have one but will again one day yet. A Bugeye was my first car! Anyway, my impression of WireWheels was/is top notch.
