Peel Trident on Monster Garage...

I don't usually pay any attention to Monster Garage, but this Monday coming should be interesting, they are apparently going to "do up" a 1964 Peel Trident (British micro car), almost don't want to know what they plan to do with it but may watch just out of sheer curiosity and interest

Reading that site, only 45 were ever produced and few survive today. And they plan to cut it up?!?!?

What an interesting site.I do remember some of them.In particular the Issetta,messerschmitt and the NZU prince as i have had a rise in them.The Issetta was a local car but he tried driving it one winter.Good by I ssetta.The messerschmitt was owned by a radio station and they let our club use it nearly all the time.We just had to maintain it.a nother friend obtained one with a blown motor and made a snow plane out of it.Imagine a 250 HP aircraft engine on a frame pushing really not much weight including 2 passengers.Man could that go.The prince was a just a car at that time and it was really driven till it fell a part.Winter plus salt does a lot of cars in.
I definitly will have to watch Monster Garage on Monday.I usually do unless its a repeat.
