This discussion came up over in the Triumph forum and I thought I'd post over here in case there is any interest.
I organize a drive each year with my MINI group (NEMINI). The group is made up of mostly new MINIs but classics are welcome too and a few members have both. Full details can be found in the link below but in a nutshell...
The date: June 3rd, 2006
The time: 10am (arrive no later than 9:30 to sign in, socialize, and make any necessary pitstops - driver's meeting at 9:55)
The meeting place: Cracker Barrel parking lot (Hamburg, PA)
This is a spirited drive through some nice twisty roads in northeastern PA, ending in the quaint little town of Jim Thorpe. Lunch is a BBQ ($5.50/person) at my parent's farm along the way. If you don't want to pay for the BBQ, feel free to bring your own picnic lunch. The total run time should be about 5-6 hours assuming 1.5-2 hours for lunch. After the run, those interested can join us for a jaunt over to a local drive-in movie theater to cap the night off with a movie under the stars.
Would love to get some classics out on the road with us. If you're interested, or have any questions, please let me know.
