Unbelievably nice! I recently saw a Speed program where Dennis Gage drove Jay Leno's restomod 1955 Buick Roadmaster hardtop that Leno bought in the early 1970s and kept all these years. But an original owner '53! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

If I could choose between the two, I would definitely prefer this Buick to Leno's Buick despite its 500-HP GM crate motor. And I LOVE horsepower!.

Sweet car!

Almost bought a 55 Buick back when I was in the service. Dimensions & body style-wise it looked very similar to the 55 Chevy. It had a heck of a lot more chrome than the Chevy and was a wonderful two tone blue. Alas I didn’t pick it up because it was a four door sedan (A Century, I think?) and the guy wanted about $5000. That was a lot of money back in 1978 and about a $4 grand more than I could afford on a Marine Lance Corporal’s measly salary. So I opted for a 67 Yellow Barracuda I picked up for $800 bucks.

The bad news is that I don't have either one today! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cryin.gif

It's interesting that this is McGrath's car, represented as one owner, but is being offered for sale in California /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif...I was under the assumption the McGrath family still lived in the NW.

I was at a garage tour event at the Pebble Beach Concours Co-Chair's house. He's a wonderful, great, nice, gracious guy, and one of the cars he has is a '53 Skylark Convertible. Extremely rare, and extremely valuable. What a gorgeous ride.

I grew up in a Buick house (I was taken home from the hospital in a '64 Buick Special Conv't, and my first car was a '77 LeSabre.) My dad drove a '56 Special Riviera Coupe for years, and even my father in law's first car was a '55 Super.

What a lovely car. My granddad had a '48 Buick Roadmaster, not a convertible but a beautifully designed car. He kept it in perfect condtion, we sold it in his estate sale back in '69.

Gosh, if I could have kept that car!
