I have been "out of the loop" for a long time, but I have an engine and tranny I took out of a "wrecked" 1966 BJ8 in 1970. The car had 30K miles on it (nowadays of course the car would have been rebuilt). I have stored these for 35 years as "spares" but someone is interested in purchasing them and I would like to get a rough idea of what I should "ask". The head is off the engine but is fine (I swapped it with my head because mine had sticky valves), and the pushrods are shot because they were in a coffee can that got water in it. The oil pan is dented (swapped with mine). 35 years ago I had put a little oil in the open cylinders and it became coated with shop/garage dust. When I wiped it off yesterday, the cylinders looked very good and the engine turns over by rotating the ring gear. The bottom end likewise looks good and the cam is shiny. I have sold the carbs. The tranny is probably also fine, and it turns easily. I opened the gear case and they are not rusty. I removed the OD solinoid years ago. Roughly what should I ask for these parts. Thanks.
