Selling my blue 1969 mgb gt only because I was able to get my absolute dream car (1996 Porsche turbo).
Very low original miles on this great old classic sports car. There aren't too many with low miles like this one. Overall the interior is in pretty good shape. The original wood steering wheel looks great.
I have over $4000 worth of work done in the last 8 months.
Completely refurbished the brakes, front and rear. Rotors, calipers, pads, drums, rear brake wheel cylinder, shoes, brake lines. The pump was in good working order.
It has electric ignition and modernized 12 v. system.
the original su carbs have been overhauled with new jet needles, floats, float needles, K&W Filters
New fuel pump
New temp gauge
Re cored radiator
The car was thoroughly tuned up with all new hoses, belts, cap and rotor, plugs, fluids and lubricants. Great gas mileage on the highway with the overdrive.
The wire wheels look good and the tires are fresh. I would say they are still 75-80%. The previous owner put in polyurethane bushings and the original shocks are in great working condition. This car is a great example of a chrome bumper 69 gt in stock condition. Refreshed and ready to drive. Chrome looks great.
This is not a perfect car. The problems that I see with the car are the paint and the dash. The paint has been touched up in spots and has a couple of bubble spots. Overall it looks pretty good. I would say a 12 foot paint job. It looks good at 12 feet, any closer you can start to see the faults. The dash has two cracks in it. Not huge but they are there. It has a fresh carpet and the seats are in good shape.
I have my repair records but no previous books. The dealer that I bought the car from said that the previous owner was an older math professor at Stanford. He thinks that maybe he was the second owner. I may be the third owner.
All the work done here in SF at Johns Jaquar service.
Thanks for looking and I hope to find a nice home for this little baby.
