History: I had two stainless resonators installed to quiet things down back there, but they were made incorrectly (read completely blocked up), as a consequence, I lost roughly 3/4 power. Anyway, the vendor was good to me and replaced everything, but by the time I got all the parts in, scheduled time with the exhaust guy and sorted out my work stuff, nearly two months have passed.
I've also had a nagging miss that was fixed with a finding a loose intake manifold bolt and finally getting the A/F mixture on the carbs close to right. With all the mods, the engine is really pulling strong now.
Now with new, still a little loud exhaust (but in a good way), I got to blast down the North Carolina countryside today at (occasionally) breakneck speeds for a couple hours. The weather was sunny and 50's but with the tonneau cover and the heat on made a pretty comfortable ride.
With the miss and the exhaust fiasco (a project I have waaaayy too much money tied up into), I was getting a little depressed.
These little drives are a good reminder of why we all go through the sometimes miserable trials of ownership. I love my little red TR6.
