Thats the only beef I have with my 78. Rubber Bumpers! I think the chrome bumpers make them look so much better. Thats a good price but a picture says a thousand words. I always get a little worried when I see guys selling bumpers like that and comment that they have them for a blanket of different cars. I usually find that they "think" that same bumper will fit on this year / brand of a car and it was can be used on this other year / brand of a car. Then you get it and it fits but wont bolt up. I honestly liked the posts a guy had on here a week or so ago where he took the bumpers off, did some body work to cover the mounting area's and it made the car look like late 50's early 60's era. The next MG I get I think will be a 66 or so just cause I like the front end better.

I'm with you, dog. I have some sitting in my garage from a '74 that I just don't have the $$ to install. They need to be re-plated at an exorbitant cost. I sold the grill I had because the conversion was too costly. Tried to sell them on craigslist, but no takers. Too much of a pain to pack/ship on ebay. So, they sit.

I've been thinking for a while about making either sheet metal or fiberglass cones that could be installed on the rear, to get rid of the Rubber Bumper cutouts... it'd be a good market for someone! Not a huge market, you'd never be a millionaire. But I think there's enough of us who would like an easy way to convert to chromes...
