2004 Tahoe conclave over

Bighly, you are a winner (2nd place I think in the gymkhana/autocross)! Looked for you there but you came and left before I could find you. I met several other BCF members. Nice to put faces with the posts. Norm and Dave Nock of British Car Specialists gave an interesting tech class. Special guest was Gerry Coker (original 100 designer). Many other supprises. It was a great time with lots of rides and beautiful cars and wounderful people.

Thanks for the info. Did I win anything? My times were in the mid to low 29s for all the timed "official runs". Right after that I ran unofficial fun runs and got down to 27.2 just keeping up with the sprites runs. Udo ran faster in the timed runs but unofficially I ran faster. But that dosent really count. There were some cool spinouts and some pushing off the turns especially at the last turn.

Great pictures, reminds me of Open Roads 2002. What a place that Lake Tahoe is. Good job on that gymkhana too, I usually spin out on that last turn, no matter what the layout.

Gerry Coker appears to be ageless, we need to keep him going. Seems to me he is the one of the few surviving members of that original Healey team.....

I managed to not spin out and only took out one cone (on the last turn). Udo Putsky (sp?) of bilstein fame and I had quite a battle going on and were both trying to best the well prepared little red Sprite's times. What great fun!! Jerry was really relaxed and put up well with all the clamoring for his time, dash signing, questions and handshakes. That is a different thing than I was thinking about.

There was an old SNL skit where Elvis (played by Nick Cage and later by Rob Snider) stood on the dash. Tiny Elvis would then joked about out how big everything was while the Jordanairs drove him around. He would then get mad if they didn't laugh, Invariably, someone would mention his size, and he would get defensive.
