The chrome beading is rubbing on the hood and I need to move it over about 3/16. My concern is if I file out the holes on the cowling how would I stop the paint from chipping so much it might show from under the hinge. One thought I had is to put tape on the edge of the hole and file the hole and the paint together. Any ideas are welcome.
Another thought I had was to bend the hood by hand by twisting that last little bit in the back over and curl it in some. I can move easily by hand, but it comes back, and I am afraid to much force might do damage. Anyways, my belief is these hoods warp over time because I have seen so many kinda spread out in the back where they meet the chrome beading, but I do not know. Heck I thought I had this stuff fit up before I painted it.
