Would love to have a lift. No doubt there are pros /cons to a two-post unit and a four-post unit. Perhaps the four-post has a less demanding concrete compression requirement? Safer?
Mine is a four poster from the lift superstore and its definatley NOT made in china . It doesnt need to be bolted down as the footprints of the feet keep it stable enough for use with bolting down (as long as floor is smooth and level)
it came with drip trays castor kit for moving it around and bridge jack . Best garage investment I ever made , oil changes , brake jobs , tire swaps etc etc etc all done at a comfortable height . I even have a comfy office chair to scoot around on under the car while I work.
Im even thinking of a slightly more basic four poster just for storage space for cars in my shop .
I wouldnt go two post , too much strain on chassis/suspension components etc when they are hanging in the air in my opinion . You cant store a car on a two post .
Four post is more versatile , you have low ceilings , put plywood across the runways and store all your garden furniture on it up in the air and park below ??
Also mine is 230v ,pump is way faster , the 110v version of the same lift is slower then a wet weekend to raise etc if you have the option do 230v
