The only MGB whose gauges I worked on was a '64 so it didn't have the stabilizer... so I can't tell you the exact spot to look. However, I can make a suggestion. If you can see under the dash and/or behind the gauges, find the back of the fuel gauge. One wire should be green/black. The other fuel gauge wire should be a shade of green. Follow that solid green wire back and it should terminate on the "I" terminal of the stabilizer.

It is under the drivers side dash, just above and to the left of the rubber firewall grommet. Easy to see once you get your head down on the floor.

Your signature picture is a bit large. Good looking car though. I like the racing stripe.

I don't see wear-bars or bulges and I assume the RF tire's tread is just packed with dirt. What do you see there Dr.?

Michelin tire tread pattern which I believe hasn't been available here for YEARS... XZX?

I was concerned over the safety aspect. They are available in England, but haven't been able to find 'em in the States.

I think the first tires I bought for my first car were Michelin ZX.

Ray, I sent you a P.M.

New tubes with wires are a good idea.

As for the tyres, check Tire Rack with a search for the appropriate ~available~ current ones. I'm headed toward the Sumitomo ones.

If you order the tires from Tire Rack or similar, see if they have the tubes you need and buy them at the same time. When I last needed tubes for wire wheels (on our GT6) I spent the morning calling all over town looking for radial tubes for 13" wheels. I was lucky to find them.

Ray, you're welcome. It only took a couple of minutes to re-size and upload.

That's spot on, Doug. The tubes are usually difficult to find. And there IS a "radial" innertube.
