The auto cut-off feature on my TR3 turn signal does not work most of the time. It never works when turning right and sometimes works when turning left, if the turn is sharp enough.
A while back, the whole horn / turn signal assembly was loose and was turning with the steering wheel. Although I repositioned and secured the assembly by tightening the gland nut at the front end of the sterring column, I think something might be out of position.
I am hesitant to loosen it up, becasue everything basically works and it is not that hard to flip the indicator off, but I feel this should be a pretty easy fix. One thought is that when the assembly was free to turn, it got rotated by a full 360 degrees which may be why the cut-off works in one direction and not the other.
I am not real familiar with what is inside this assembly, so I am not sure what to do. Any advice?
