Those red dog legs...Beware

Well we tried to fit them on the GT and nothing worked. Bought the black ones with the Heritage/Steelcrafter labels and guess what? They went right on. They are also over 3 inches taller than the red ones and we would have had less of a struggle getting the outer rocker off, at the rear. Five dollars more and what a difference. Moss states no real complaints about the Taiwan garbage! Got the good ones from the Roadster Factory and Brit tech. We needed a couple of sets, doing 3 cars.

I have a red one now so may as well get the black one if it will help, I need all the help I can get.

I can not find them at either of the sites you listed, do you have a part number?

The Roadster factory web site is hard for me to shop....anybody else have a problem?

Brit tech I only see kits but no body parts

A set of the red doglegs came with the junkpile b build when we got it. They seemed to fit just fine to me, so I can't make any complaints.

Maybe some of the problems relate to quality control on these red panels. One of the ones on the junkpile B fit pretty good, one could have been "stretched" a slight bit. The end result is a good fit. I would like to go back in time and compare the black ones. The 60 mini project in the driveway has black BMH front floor pans in it and the fit on those looks perfect.

the red ones for the MGA's work best if you stomp on em and throw them in the field. The black rockers work best if you cut the sh*t out of them, bend em,then weld em back up. Steelcraft and Heritage panels for B's are pretty good.

I use the red ones - but I've learned never to cut a panel open until I have the replacement in hand....if I find I have rust & may need to open it up, I order the body panel or pull one off the shelf & use it to scribe where I'm gonna cut/weld.....
