Those fender holes behind the RB

I'm sure I'm beating a horse . . . that isn't very well, but I've heard it rumoured that the front signal lights can be made to fit in the fender holes reasonably well when the RB is removed. Is this just wishful thinking? I don't want to offend anyone but although I have adjusted to the RB MGB, I just can't get used to the Midget, and I have no skill in welding and filling and all that's necessary to retrofit the old style turn signals.
I'm not very good at navigating this site either, so excuse me for bringing up an old topic. I'll be happy to be directed to earlier discussions.
Thanks.

True.

No.

Long answer: it works reasonably well. The body of the sig is slightly wider than the hole in the fender:

You have to fabricate a little clip to hold the sig tight to the fender from the back. It sits in the hole quite solidly.

From a distance, you can't really tell it isn't supposed to be like that.

Bill, now explain how your grille is attached - that will be the next question

Grille?
There seem to be two bolt heads . . . Were the RB supports drilled and tapped and then bolts threaded in to hold the grille?

Hee hee! Even simpler than that. It's the existing threads and nuts from the RB. No drilling or tapping required. Just slide the grille over the threads, a big ol' rubber washer to keep the nuts from vibrating loose, and tighten the nuts down snug. A bit of bailing wire at the top of the grille is a safety measure.
