Supercharger first impressions

It was a pitb to install due to having to change the pedal box but it was worth it.

The kit that moss put together was awesome. Everything you needed was there down to the super glue to make up the manifold shims.

Once the pedal box was done the install was strait forward though I found getting the lower radiator hose in the right position to fit and not kink was a pain that took a bit to sort out.

Driving I must say the car has changed completely. In traffic it's fantastic just a light press on the pedal is all you need to keep up in LA's fast moving traffic. Need to make a quick pass just romp on it and your grin will reach the back of your head. Getting on the freeway is simple as the car no longer takes its own sweet time to build up speed. Just romp on the gas pedal and it leaps forward. I'm looking forward to getting up in the mountains but need just a little bit more time before I take it out of cell range.

Sound wise the car has also changed. The supercharge whine is addicting and the exhaust note has taken on a more ripping of the air tone when at full throttle. Sounds down right angry.

Dang car is going to get me a speeding ticket.

I have about 150 miles on it now and have a sever case of lead foot ites. Finally went up angles crest and holy cow the car has changed. Where before I would be in 3rd or 3rd od in the flat sections I'm now in 4th or 4th od and the car accelerates better than it ever did while in 3rd. Passing going up hill is no big deal even above 5k feet.

Temperature wise the car might actually be running cooler than before and even with prolonged high powered climbs it has yet to climb above N.

The slight rattle is the gear shifter

Stewart, allegedly, how much additional HP/torque is the supercharger supposed to render on your engine?

Just lurking here over from the Triumph group. I installed the new Moss kit on my TR4A earlier this year. I haven't really had a chance to drive it much, but I'm very happy with it so far. I've also noticed that the car seems to run cooler, though I've not driven enough for a really good feel. I did see an explanation in an old Judson installation manual that said the pressure on the intake side helps with scavenging out the exhaust, and can reduce temps.
