Still in asytole but ready for the paddles- clear

Have installed new and correct points, condensor and rotor on my 76B dizzy, I decided to pull the dizzy out of the car and go through it. It was quite dirty and rusty. The PO installed the wrong wire from the dizzy to the coil, instead of having the plastic rectangular piece that fills in the hole in the side of the dizzy(25D type)all kinds of crap worked its way inside over the years with just the wire going through the opening. I noticed after cleaning and reasembling everything when I sping the drive gear I can hear the wieghts moving, is this OK or is something amiss? I'm hoping it is OK and the reason I didn't hear it before was because they weren't moving from all the dirt. Thanks, Mack /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif

Still has the springs in place? If so, yup. You're de-DPOing it!

If you spin the dizzy shaft by hand you can sometimes here the weights swing out against the springs and then the cam return to its stop. Sounds normal to me.

Yup! Sound to me like you have it cleaned up and working properly. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif
