Walked out to garage, hit the switch and pulled the starter, she ran. Hehe, awful with no exhaust on her, so shut her down.

But Miss Agatha talked to me. She did.

Oil pressure is 55 lbs cold. Ran her for about a min and rough adjusted dizzy even though I need to turn it 180 degrees. Have one carb leaking a bit from the mixture nut on the bottom.

She accelerates well, idles and does not stumble but running very rich hehe, not bad for an eye ball set up.

Started first hit from changing the wires around.

Yeeee Haaaaaaw

She's alive! Nice work, Jack. Remember, we like pictures and movies. We want to see/hear too.

Nothing to see Drew, and without an exhaust is awful, will do something after the first of the year when I get her sorted out.

Excellent Jack- another one almost back from the grave, and a very pretty one at that!!
Keep up the good work and have her driving for the spring car get-togethers.

Have run her several more times, enough to get the water temp to start its climb. She starts first pull, just like a Bugeye should, but so rich she does not need choke even on initial startup. Yep yep, something wrong for sure. Think maybe they leak in side as well as out side.

Need to resolve the leaks from the bottom of the carbs and turn the timeing 180. Not sure why the carbs are leaking at this point. No leakes anyplace else water or oil.

Hehe, need to get the battery back in my truck.

Congratulations, Jack!

Also, thanks for making me feel better about putting my dizzy in 180 out.

And I tried to be so careful. Duh. Maybe it is just beyond my skill level.

Something I did have driven home with this exercise. Timeing is not an issue, Just point number one wire toward number one plug with engine on TDC and go for it. Quite a bit of freedom there to just get it to run.

Congrats Jack! Personally I love the sound of an unmuffled spridget (or any internal combustion engine running unrestricted - nape-o-the-neck hair raisin') Of course it tends to ruffle the neighbors! Have you double-checked the float levels? Could lead to leaks and richness! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif Time raise a toast!

That is the first thing to do in the morning of course.

The elec pump is rated at 3.5 lbs so that should be ok and I am getting nothing out of the bypass lines so just may be float levels.

Congrats Jack!!!! I'm still hoping to have mine ready by spring and you sure can provide the motivation that a guy with kids and a full time job needs to get it done. Cant wait for some pics and videos!
