Paint code spoke wheels?

Rather than buying Chrome Wheels , I have decided to repaint existing 62 Spoke set.

Any advice on the silver color code? Gloss or flat?

You can buy silver wheel paint at Eastwood auto supply, it is a very correct match for the original color, Just check out there web site, they are cheaper then the common sources . However, Moss motors has a very good paint as well, It takes 3 days to dry even in hot weather! But it is quality paint. I always add a coat of clear (satin clear) after the silver base coat is cured. I am sure other members of this forum have other sources as well. Michael, IL.

The Eastwood Argent Silver is much lighter than the wheel colour although it is spot on for the hardtop rear aluminium bars.

A good source for paint is www.apstowerpaint.com 1-800-779-6520 . They can match any color in a spray can. I've used "Mercedes Wheel Silver" with excellent results.Expensive, but goes on well. Also used their BRG to touch up my paint and it was great.
Moss is also good for the right color #220-560.
Eastwood lists #10004Z Detail Silver as correct for British cars, but I haven't used it.

The best all-around deal for color, price, and availability is Dupli-Color DE 1650 Engine Enamel "cast coat aluminum". At about $6.a can. Also good is DE 1615 "aluminum". Easy to get a compatible primer at the same time.

I should have been more clear about the proper Eastwood silver wheel color....but i was to lazy to run out to the garage! Ok... I just ran out there and found the Eastwood wheel paint. It is called Detail silver for wire wheels...part number 10004Z.

I searched through the off the shelf engine enamels at he local auto store and found one that was very, very close to the color of the spoke that was on the car. Looked great. Some flake, but not too much. I posted it a few years ago, but for the life of me I can never find anything with the search button on this forum. If you are interested, I'll go through my box of cans or run to the store and find it.
