No more Moss Motors!

It's been years since I've ordered any parts from Moss, and when I did, I never had any problems. Now, the last two orders have had to be sent back due to disinformation, ignorance, stupidity or just plain lying.

The sales staff there is either trained to tell you what you want to hear, or they just have no idea what they're talking about.

The first order was for 4 Minilite knock off wheels. I called and was told they were made by the people who are now making the new Minilites in the UK. Well, they're made in the UK, but they're Minotaur wheels. Not bad wheels, just not what I asked for. They went back. About 10 minutes ago, I receive a muffler I ordered that was represented, not once, but several times by the salesman, that it was an Ansa exhaust system...NOT a Monza. Guess what, it's a Monza. I could have bought it for half the price somewhere else had I known it was a Monza system. Again, not that Monza is a terrible product, it's just not what I ordered. That's over $2k worth of useless parts I have to send back. If you'll notice, Moss' site is suspiciously lacking product brand names. Reason being apparently that they can ship you whatever they happen to have at the moment, correct or incorrect.

Well, that was officially my last order from Moss. There are just too many quality outfits out there now selling Triumph parts that don't have to mislead their customers.

I had similar exp. with Moss in the past,
Moss is ok for some stuff but I find better prices and quicker turn around time with others :nopity:

I deal primarly with TRF or Vicky, good prices and quality services!

I use The Roadster Factory. I get great pricing as an investor and their knowledge is superior to others in my opinion.

The KN Minators (minilite "style") are good wheels, a little heavier than Panasport but lighter than Superlite. They're (KN) now distributed/made by UK Revolution wheels and sold by all 3 vendors.

I've had junk parts from all of the big 3, but more unsatisfactory repro stuff from TRF than the others (don't order from VB often though.) TRF has really great service and takes anything back no problem.

Monza is made by Pacesetter and is not known for longevity. ANSA would cost you a small forture in comparison and is hard to find. Bell exhaust is also very good.

btw, TRF gets some of its stuff from Moss.

Folks:

As much as we all may sympathize with problems encountered with vendors, Basil has requested that we not use the BCF to bash them. There is a forum (Vendor and Product Reviews) for discussion, and there are rules posted. Please take note.

Thanks,
Mickey
