and given the rarity the price sure seems right - I do like the look.

The Jensen GT is an upmodel estate version of the Jensen Healey. Runs on the Lotus 907 motor. They only made 502 of them before production ceased. This one looks to be in pretty nice shape. Don't know what the exchange rate is right now, but that's a good price.

There's a few Jensen folk in the TO area.

I've seen one before, I seem to recall seeing one at a British Car Day (Bronte Creek) a few years ago when I lived in Barrie... I also saw one at a local motel many years ago, being towed on a trailer behind a U-Haul truck... But yes, they are quite rare, they probably have a decent survival rate because they are a sports car, family cars tend to get scrapped more often...

Nice looking car... I saw one on the road coming out of Glouster last year. Not many left.

Had one, green and tan, w/houndstooth seats, handled great, looked good. Timing belt must be changed every 18,000, power window switches failed regularly, too loud inside for a tourer, rusted under the vinyl roof, rats ate the wiring, then a large oak tree fell on it damaging the hard to replace drivers door. Sold it to the southwest. Fun while it lasted.

If i didn't own a british car that last sentence would make no sense at all.

They do tend to get shabby rather quickly and the interior trim (which is upgraded form the Jensen Healey) are hard to source, so I would never buy one that was in poor shape - restoration costs would be double what the end product was worth.

And that would be different from all our other endeavours because...

There've been a couple for sale lately. Always was intrigued by them.
