When I attend the Pioneer Acres farm show every August, there is an excellent display of older commercial trucks, that I thoroughly enjoy. The dedication? In order for some of them to get their big trucks to the show they have to trailer them, as some of them are very unsuitable for highway driving, and trailering them to the show means a very big trailer...

Wow...this is beyond my abilities. I can handle vintage tractors around this part of the country...but not sure if the standard, 2 sided or 3 sided dipper are different classes within the WORKING CLASS show categories....changes are never easy!!!

We have a bunch of 50's/60s vintage Fire engine trucks around here still in use. The old ones had air cooled diesel engines. Quite noisy but reliable and with maintenance they last forever. I believe some of them are all wheel drive.

Back in the day, when I played mechanic for a dealer of Ivecos,
I came to the conclusion that they knew what they were doing
when they built them, air cooled, 4, 5 , and 6 cylinders, some
turbo'd, some not. Great little trucks too, cheap for the fleet
operator, and dead nuts reliable. What more could you want??
