Hose selection

I'd like to keep a selection of hoses on hand to work on the B's. I'm not sure what sizes are on the cars and everytime I go over to NAPA or something I forget to get the sizes.
Also what types. I'll need some for heat & some for gas unless it is recommend to buy the same.

I'd order purpose-built hoses for the radiator from Moss or VB...& usually I go to a farm supply place to find fuel & vacuum hose by the foot....main thing to remember is that the hoses you find today are a little different from the hoses on the xcar originally - usually the outside diameter of today's hoses is larger but that doesn't matter so long as the inside diameter is the same.

To add to Ron, SU HIFss use 1/4 from the fuel filter to the carbs and between the carbs as well. Might want to grab the right sized clamps to have on hand as well

I've plenty of clamps & I do have the prope hoses for the rad. 1/2" Heater, 5/16" Gas & 1/4" Gas is a start.
Anything else? I just want to pop in get of few feet of each to ahve on hand and be prepared for anything I come across.

I keep a length of rubber fuel hose and radiator hoses in each car. Anything else won't leave you on the side of the road.

How about 6 feet of clear plastic stuff so you can get some gas for the lawn mower easly?

True, I guess I was going a bit off topic, sorry. I suppose I was making an additional suggestion rather than adding to the list of garage supplies. I do keep various perishables in the garage, but I also keep the two aforementioned items in each car.

I keep a few feet of the tiny hard plastic line on hand (the stuff that connects the dizzy vaccuum advance). I think Moss sell it by the foot.

Yeah not survival on the road stuff just car type hose to keep in the garage so while I am working on the car I don't have to stop & go shopping. I am going to make a post about A Road Survival Kit now that I have the potential to have several cars on the road I want to be prepared all around.

I actually do have a 6 foot piece of clear tubing to drain gas tanks.

I know. I got a great tip here in the forum to put the hose in the tank, cup your hand over the filler opening and blow air in to get the gas out. I did it on the GT but it has not worked so well on the others. Too many "other holes".
