Pretty - very pretty....but, do you think connecting into the manifold up close to #'s 1 &2 instead of in the center will cause undue wear on those valves? & possibly skew fuel burn?

Or, am I reading the photo incorrectly?

You're looking at the exhaust manifold... prob not as critical.

Nice job - MegaJolt?
Love the way the turbo looks nearly as big as the engine...

Has it been dyno'd yet?
I'd love to see the plot.

I built the Megasquirt w/spark control, firing the coil through a locked distributor, I built the manifold as a copy of the 70's PO original, but welded a LARGE unseen brace to the manifold at the turbo flange going to the block pump boss/vent to cure the cracking that plagued the 70's original.
The throttle body is a Ford 1.9l, 44lb/hr Lucas injectors,Bosch fp reg. Summit racing fpump, NAPA sensors, no dyno results, but the G-tech gets a ride as soon as I get the air cleaner fabbed up. Butt dyno says a hundred and plenty.
You can only imagine how much fun and how much of an education this has been.

Glen... that is a thing of beauty.

How's your idle? I am not very happy with mine. I am about to install a "High Res" variant of the MSExtra code that uses the PWM circuitry intended for low impedence injectors to give high impedance injectors finer control over open times. With the standard MSI code, the smallest amount of time the computer can open an injector is .1ms. With the new code the computer will be able to open the injector in increments or .035ms. I am hoping this will give me finer control of my idle.

Also, I have been kicking around fabbing up an exhaust manifold similar to Glen's for my 1500.

While, turboing is likely in my future, what would be the draw backs of running such a manifold on a N/A car until such time as I am able to turbo?

The idle is 800rpm. Key was disconnecting one injector so remaining injector idled above 2ms. I had overestimated the need. Injector sizing and timing was critical. I would now say between 35 and 40lbs/hr is about right. The single 44lb/hr I run now is not above 70% duty cycle at WOT/10lbs boost. I've decided to consider the other injector as a handy spare in case the other fails/plugs-up, ready to serve when its wire is reconnected.
I'm making the bracket to mount the air cleaner today.

Do you guys recall what Ford donor you used for your 36-1 wheel? The one I got in Az. is too small a diameter to open up to 5.5" to fit my damper. Any suggestions, it's too wet this week to tramp through the yards with a ruler measuring Ford crank pullys?

I didn't use the VR trigger. I locked the distributor, and use the signal from a Crane 700 optical trigger mounted inside. Not quite as steady as a crank-trigger, but easier to do, and accurate enough for me. Check the DIY-Autotune site for a source of various sized 36-1 trigger wheels.

Great site Morris. Luckily, my credit card wasn't with me when I was viewing.... I really do not have time for another project.
