Help!! wife says I'm in second childhood

I am new to this site and I've already posted what I think is a major question on my BGT. My wife and I have been married for 22 years. We bought our first BGT (a 1973) in 1981. We loved that car. but kids, responsibilities job, got in the way and we sold itin 89. I just got another one almost the same year (1974) and am trying to get it back in running condition. It has been sitting since 1997 and everything is there I think, but I need to figure out this electrical problem. I've ordered a clutch master cylinder rebuild kit from moss for the clutch, I think I'll have to rebuild the carbs too. With a little body work It should be good to go for a while. Any help you guys can give me would be great.

Well, I bought the proper ignition switch for my 74 BGT and that seems to have cleared up most of the electric problems. I've got points and condenser,plugs,wirers,distributer cap and rotor button on order. I hope that clears up a lot of the rest of the problems.
