Going through a nasty divorce and I did not have custody of my MGB for the past 70 days.
Last night I got it back (maybe temporarily who knows) and had to install a new battery as the other one died from lack of use I guess.
After a bit of pumping the pedals she fired right up and away we went on a cold midnight romp around DFW airport.
I truly missed that car. I didn't know I could care about any other British car except for a Mini as much as I do for this MGB.
Couple of observations:
(1) It was a cold 40 degrees last night, I noticed on the freeway, the temp gauge woudl be in the blue zone. I deleted the heater and thus cannot tell what the radiator is doing. Is this bad and do I need to cover up the grilles so allow the engine to operate in the proper range and
(2) When i come to a stop the engine dies, won't maintain idle from high speed. If I restart the engine then it idles.
