Yeah, I was listening (while under my car doing the long, rear hard brake line on the race car....ugh).
Honestly, I think they've always been like that. And Tom hasn't gotten rid of TD, so that says something too. I never take them seriously, and I doubt most of their listeners do either. I sure hope not, because about 50% of their "answers" are wrong.
They *did* say the B was a great "adult car", using words like "wonderful". But they didn't think it would be as good as a "normal" car for dragging litle kids around in. If I was dragging little kids around these days, I choose a Miata or a new MINI over an MGB. But I'd still have a B (or similar) for myself.
By the way, part of their concern was that the gal calling in would be driving that potential MGB on highways with her kids, presumably surrounded by the typical SUVs we see these days (she said it would see some highway driving). I understand that question. When I go to work in my Miata or van, I take Rt. 80. When I drive the MGB to work. I always take the slower, less-traveled side roads.
One thing interesting was the caller's hubby also had an MGA and told his wife that, by-comparison, an MGB would be much more civilized. Sort of true.....an MGB is like a limo compared to an A.
