Which brake pads are best for street use in BC mountains

Moss Classic Gold Premium Ceramic at an unbeatable 33.00
EBC in Green or Yellow
Hawk HPS or HP+
Anything else

As I noted in another post the Datsun 240Z pad fits and is about 20% larger surface area

Talk to Moss about ceramic increasing the rotor wear. They believe them to be best for racing due to the stopping ability but talked me out of them for street use. But that is why they make different flavors of ice cream.

Ditto! I have BN7 front disc brakes fitted to my BN6.

I put about 300 miles a year on my car. I doubt that increased rotor wear will ever matter. How many miles do you expect to drive?

I like the EBC greens on slotted drilled rotors. I go through pads a little quicker though.

I have been running Porterfield R-4 carbor kevlar for the last 15 years - they are a full race pad that works well for street driving, very rotor friendly and work good cold but get better and better as they get hotter.

If you are street driving only, I recommend their R4-S "High Performance Street & Autocross" pads. They don't need quite as much heat to work at their best and are a lot quieter than the ceramic pads I have tried.
