I'm prepping my new gas tank for painting. I decided I couldn't trust my original. And besides that the weather is great.

Install generator, static set distributor, and maybe wire in the fuel pump and headlight relay. I've got most of the weekend free, so I'm going to try and knock off as much as I can.

I'll be trying to keep Hap in view as we do the overnight to
Fontana Village. I'll have an additional handicap as we are taking the wife's "B". Ace in the hole is Mary Jane. She might
keep him in check.

Finish up installation of the rear shut panel and hopefully get the shock mount brackets installed on my 59 BE. Maybe even have time to start finishing up the rear body work so I can eventually install the trunk pan....once I do that, I can actually turn the car right side up!

Recouping from participating in the California Melee with the Sprite last weekend. 1200 miles in 4 days in the Sprite.

Taking a good look at the slight play I have in my steering rack and maybe swapping it with the supposedly rebuilt unit I got with the car.

Fixing the rear exhaust mount that broke on day one on the Melee last weekend. I fixed it on the road with bailing wire and she's holding 800 miles later. Kind of makes me want to see how long it lasts...

The local LBC club is going on a drive Sunday up Hwy 299 and we might join them with the BGT.

Rob,

Nice meeting up with you - sorry about the rain.
How far West are they going on 299?
Our run will be on the 26th.

Hey Doug! Yes it was quite the ride. Mattole Rd was amazing, even in the pouring rain. Those poor guys in the Alfa had no top.

Looks like Sunday's run is on 299 east of Redding. Iron Canyon area.

Thanks again for the help with the gas!

I'll be installing my new, hand made carbon fibre console. I needed more room for gauges!

Get up early and drive as far as I can in the Midget before work. Saturday isn't much different than the rest of 'em, Sunday either for that matter (although that work is volunteer). At least I have work!

Sweet console!

I'll be diagram in hand, staring at the new wiring loom, trying to figure out where all those bulb wires behind the dash are going to go, and deciding which section of 'stiff' loom gets attached to which part of the cowl wall.

A friend of mine chopped and narrowed a stock console. Welded it back together and had it covered in leather. Room for additional gauges but more room for your kneee. Your's looks sweet!

Rob - I thought the Malee was what you were refrencing when you mentioned the drive. Very - very cool event. Next year for me I hope.

I'm going to install a proper coil, and see how bad that floor rot is.
