Had I sent you the wrong item & you notified me of that - regardless of the reason, yours or mine - we would've gotten you a correct one & I would've put the wrong one on my shelf as a 'used' item (I can't return it after its been installed)...your extra cost would possibly be to share the shipping because of the mixup....& if you ordered a second one & then decided you wanted to keep the one you already had, you could've returned the one you never opened.
In other words, we'd work it out....but I'm a small operation....Moss has a huge operation & has to rely on customers to order the correct item for their car......I try to double check what guys are asking for but sometimes its even hard for me to do that what with VIN # change point differences, etc.....plus, I don't know your car like you do...heck, you could have a '79 with a '75 engine.
However, I always check the part number of every item I put on my cars against the catalog to make sure its right...but, I know once its out of the box I can't return it!
& I only order from VB when somebody specifies them or as a backup when Moss is out of stock.....
