So I jumped back on the horse in a short way. I started by cleaning up the radiator and giving it a good scuffing. It had been cleaned and pressured tested quite a while back and just sitting. I will degrease and straighten fins tomorrow. I hope to get it painted by the weekend. Then the next step is regroup and rearrange the parts in the loft storage.

I have ordered some more parts and need to address the metal work that is left or jump to the frame work....which one first>>>>we will see what wins.

My Dad and I used to work on my car projects together when I was a kid. Now he's gone too but always with me as I work. I know you'll miss your Dad too but keep him close as you work and it all seems easier somehow.
 
Hey JP, yes that is what I used on my TR250 Radiator...worked out well.

OK so I was going to degrease the Radiator, walked outside to about 100 degree heat and decided to come back inside and grab a cold beverage.....maybe in the early AM when it is only supposed to be 85.

Man has to make choices sometimes.....
 
OK it is official....I have lined up the trailer for TR3 body storage. I have a couple friends coming over Saturday to help lift it off and take it to the storage facility. That kind of forces me to get going, because I pay monthly for storage. It means I get to strip the suspension and rear end, to pull off the wheels and brake components. Then off to get the powder coating done on the frame......Progress....Still need to paint the radiator....but this is time better served right now.....Still looking for Steering bits....

Umm since I have the suspension rebuild components and the new exhaust, and brake parts.....right now the frame work won out....

That is my update.

Great! In your other post it looked like TXknucklehead had parts 5 ad 7, which are the big ones...have you checked with him yet?

Change everything. Belive me changing the rear leaf springs after the body is back on is no fun. I brought home the donor body back from L.A. In a 6X12 trailer. Not much extra room left.
 
Dan...Help me out with the everything list....I have the suspension rebuild kit, exhaust...brakes cylinders. new body mounting kit. I plan on cleaning up the wheels while they are off the car. Can you refurb the springs or best to go with the rebuilt ones? The Rear shock units can be rebuilt....or just clean and refill?? Have I missed anything else?
