seeking out a thin intake manifold..

Morning all, it's been awhile since I last posted.

I need a thin intake manifold. I'll try to explain this best I can. I had to get a new exhaust manifold b/cause my original was trashed. anyway, when I bolted the two parts together there is a step down between the two causing my studs coming off of the engine to bend inward and the manifolds to not seal up (and it looks bad, to me at least).

so if this made sense.. does anyone have a spare they want to get rid of (sell, pawn off, etc.)??

I have one. It's the cast iron manifold of the '73-74 cars. The ears of the manifold are thinner than the earlier manifold. It needs to be cleaned up, but looks good with no cracks. $40 + shipping from 12118 and it's yours! Send me an email at mgupnorth at yahoo dot com.

I just went in the basement and measured the ears. They are 5/16" v 7/16" like the earlier headers. At a min you need to put in a few new studs on the bottom and if it were be I would have it sand blasted if you want to make it pretty.
