Thanks
About the locktabs: The car spended all his life in Illinois US.
I purchased this TR3 in May this year and the car came to Belgium with the locktabs on it.
You're right, they are also not mentioned in the Moss catalog.
But I think I will put them back on it when I start rebuilding the car.

Karl - Great job on photo-documentation (wish I had done that over my 15-year project) - Question on the hardtop - do you have the drip rails? or do you plan on fabricating them? and if so, how? I'm trying to come up with an idea on how to make them.

Yes I have them, Just need a good polish. I think you can easy fabricate them. They are made from aluminium. I can make some pictures if you want.

Very nice -both the work and the pictures. Brings back some memories. It's funny how nice the car looked before you started, and how much attention was needed once you dug into it. But I really can't believe you're not going to put back that little taste of Texas you found inside the fender. Really, a patch from a motor tag... makes you wonder about the life the car lived.

I can't wait to see it finished.

Don't forget that locktabs should never be reused. I learned the hard way ...

Karl,

What an amazing job. Appreciate all the exploded views, it's nice to have a real world road map.

Looking at your "before" pics, I would have thought it hopeless.

BTW: what are the gauges (& switch) in the glovebox compartment & below the dash?

thanks again.

Guy

Very nice work Karl. I predict whenever my '60 comes apart ( not anytime soon, as my TR6 looks like your '57 right now ) it will be in very similar condition to your car.
