Growing Old

I remember when we moved to Lawton and just like that we got a fourth station that we picked up from Wichita Falls in addition to the three local stations. It was amazing.

Hard to understand today but I remember just sitting there watching the test pattern.

In my early years the World was still in Black & White,
as was our TV.
I very clearly remember getting our first colour TV - my dad rented it for Christmas and then decided to buy it. Must have been the early 70's

I remember the first time I saw Sesame Street on a color television... and the puppets were not the colors I had imagined. Quite disappointing.

My wife joined that outfit when she was a teen and had a heck of a time getting her membership cancelled. That "deal" of 7 records or tapes fro 1 cent was a "hook" to get people to sign up, then they would send you a featured album each month and charger you for it unless you specifically said you didn't want it (and you had to say that within a time limit).

we belonged in the 90's - it was OK. I had no idea they were even still in business though.
