On behalf of all the meticulous to the rest of the world:

If you don't see anything wrong with this, then you're the problem!

I thought that was how meticulous people installed a roll of toilet paper. To keep the rest of us from rolling out too much. Or are you referring to the fact that whoever installed the holder didn't remove the locating pencil mark from the wall (lower right corner)?

The TP makers will tell you that when you install the roll as a "beard", you get the full effect of their "quilting". Installing it as a "mullet" means you have the backside of the paper facing outwards.

But yes, cats. Some dogs, too. Been there, rewound that.

To “pay back” a buddy of mine I stuck a very realistic looking tarantula on the backside of the TP roll. When he pulled the roll out the next sound I heard was priceless

When my kids were young, two boys one girl, we could not work out why we were getting through so much toilet paper.
One day i caught the boys in the bathroom, small bathroom with the roll holder right by the side of the bowl, regular hight
on the wall.
They were putting the end of the paper in the water and flushing the toilet and at the same time give the roll a flick to get it started.
Whole roll gone in less than ten seconds,

Forget the tropes, I am picky about how the TP looks. I always put out a fresh roll for company, especially if it's a party.

My wife, on the other hand... solidly in Camp # 4. *sigh* This is why I have my own bathroom.
LOL, my wife is in camp 2. After 48 years of marriage I have stopped trying to change her. Now I just flip the TP around😉

This past weekend I met the guy that invented the zero.

I told him, “Thanks for nothing”

And on a similar note - Why is it that you (normally) can't have two
switches (in your house) in the down position when the light's off?
We have a light in our stairwell that works that way,& one downstairs.
Drives me crazy when they're both in the "UP" position.
